Advantages and disadvantages when entering the SRO

Construction companies carrying out professional activities in Russia must become members of a self-regulating construction organization in order to obtain access rights to certain types of work. Membership in the SRO will allow firms to receive certain benefits and at the same time establishes responsibility to the organization.

Advantages of construction companies when joining a self-regulatory organization

By joining the organization and having received the appropriate permit, companies acquire the right to take part in tenders with the subsequent implementation of certain permits for construction work. This applies to the preparation of project documentation with engineering surveys, as well as a complete list of activities specified in order No. 624 dated 30.12.2009.

Construction organizations get the right to perform work on dangerous and unique objects. The category of dangerous objects includes:

one. hydraulic structures;

2. communications facilities;

3. power lines;

four. atomic objects;

5. space infrastructure;

6. aviation infrastructure;

7. railway infrastructure;

eight. subway;

9. thermal power plants – power above 150 MW;

ten. seaports.

In a unique category are objects related to capital construction, provided that their project documentation contains the specified characteristics: height is more than 100 meters; the width of the spans is more than 100 meters; console over 20 meters; the presence of partially or completely buried underground parts at a level below 15m.

Upon joining the SRO, the company will be entitled to carry out certain types of survey activities, engage in design and energy audit. This applies to geodetic works with design, preparation and implementation of earthworks, roofing and facade operations. It will be allowed to perform installation with the previous manufacture of reinforced concrete and monolithic structures, as well as blasting and drilling activities within the framework of construction.

A variety of installation and commissioning works will become available, access to the arrangement of heat supply, engineering networks, gas and sewerage will be obtained. It is allowed to perform diving and hydraulic works, activities related to industrial furnaces and chimneys. Along with this, the prospect of completing the arrangement of mines, bridges, overpasses and overpasses will open up.

All companies that are members of self-regulatory organizations can count on legal and financial support. Centralized advanced training courses for workers are organized.

Obligations of a construction company when joining a self-regulatory organization

Along with the benefits, a company that has become a member of an SRO becomes forced to perform a number of functions related to maintaining the quality of work performed. This applies to disciplinary measures in case of violation of the charter of the organization. The company is under the vigilant control of the organization, it extends to the quality of work performed, compliance with standards and requirements. If the company violates the rules and complaints are received on the part of customers, then the organization considers them and makes a decision on the adoption of disciplinary measures. It is necessary to pay membership fees to form the insurance fund of the organization.

In general, we can conclude that joining an organization in the conditions of modern reality is beneficial for construction companies. This removes many restrictions related to carrying out a large list of works and expands the possibilities. However, this applies more to large firms with a large authorized capital.
